Altice France’s subsidiary, SFR Business, has introduced two new slicing services, ‘Slice Entreprise’ and ‘Slice Plus,’ available to customers on its 5G Stand Alone (SA) core network. These services are now commercially accessible in an expanding geographical area, covering key metropolitan regions. The offerings utilize next-generation 5G SA SIM cards, which also provide enhanced cybersecurity features for end-users.
Branded as 5G+, SFR’s 5G SA network has been operational since late 2023. During its launch, the operator successfully completed its first slicing service pilot in partnership with Nokia, its technical collaborator.
Both ‘Slice Entreprise’ and ‘Slice Plus’ deliver dedicated network slices to clients equipped with compatible 5G+ devices. While both services ensure reliable connectivity, ‘Slice Plus’ stands out by offering superior capabilities, including guaranteed priority access to the 5G+ network, making it the optimal choice for businesses with critical application needs.
